Internal Commitment to Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Our dynamic team of principals and consultants are specifically focused on higher education with a specialization in Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Unlike any other executive search firm, TM2 Executive Search has subject matter experts at each level of the search engagement and has direct executive experience at HBCUs. Our commitment to higher education.
TM2 Executive Search process is based on the Thurgood Marshall College Fund ethos of supporting colleges, universities, and foundation boards and board members to govern with knowledge and confidence through resources.

Service Statement on Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Predominantly Black Institutions.

TM2 Executive Search is the only full-service search firm that was created with the sole purpose of assisting HBCUs and PBIs in attracting, securing, developing, and promoting talented executives.
At best, most executive search firms attempt to be Black adjacent and attempt to partner with HBCUs/ PBIs without an understanding of what makes these institutions special and thus struggle to articulate the value proposition to candidates who could provide the necessary transformative leadership.

HBCUs have historically experienced a higher rate of executive turnover, which ultimately compromises all aspects of the institution, including student success, philanthropic funding, state and federal funding, partnership development, campus morale, safety, and security.
Unfortunately, HBCUs are typically underfunded, understaffed, and under supported; therefore, adding instable leadership will only exacerbate challenges. The Thurgood Marshall College Fund has always partnered with HBCUs and PBIs in meaningful and significant ways.
TMCF has worked diligently to support HBCUs and PBIs via scholarship funding for students, programmatic efforts for practitioners, and with the need of exemplary executive talent acquisition, TM2 Executive Search looks to continue to meet the need of HBCUs and PBIs.
